Homework Sunday 3.15 pm Spelling Tasks

Hi Students, I’ve gone through some of your work and put together a short list (so far) of words that you are using frequently, and often misspell. Can you pls go over this list. I will keep adding to the list and keep testing you!

Please write out these words a few times. Please write sentences for these words

Writing a short story: – based on Scout’s and Francis’s childhood fight in To Kill a Mockingbird (siblings – 10 years old)
They call each other names. Scout punches Francis and gives him a blood nose
Uncle Jack labels her “obstreperous, disorderly, abusive” (unruly) unladylike
Aunt Alexander expects her to be a Lady – domestic chores – playing with tea sets – wearing nice dresses and frills
Dress – scout – breeches/overalls, dirty – gets into fights… calls her names – punch
To tarry – to remain or stay in a place, to sojourn
Remorseful – deep and painful regret for wrongdoing
Sojourn – to dwell for a time in a place; to make a temporary stay
