The Short Classics Anthology consists of a compilation of short stories and poems. Drawing upon the ideas in the stories, we’ll explore story-telling devices, views and values and parallel key ideas. We’ll be using these stories as the basis for a range of writing tasks – advanced comprehension; reflective writing (exploring wider examples); and personal writing.
We’ll also be working in tandem with our Vocab Builder to explore vocabulary and words in their story-telling context.
As students explore key ideas and deeper thoughts, we’ll also keep an eye on their grammatical constructions and introduce them to the simple and the more complex rules of grammar.
