FIRST PARAGRAPH: (Negative) Concept ; topic sentence: Those who are unable to find a place to belong in society frequently suffer from low self esteem and self doubts.

  • Increase in self doubts
  • Lack of confidence
  • Feeling of being dissatisfied
  • Increase in anti-social behaviour

Examples: Kayne/ Tiffany Hall/ Connor/ Arie Eddy / Hannah Smith (psychologist’s Danah Boyd’s comments about pain, help and suffering)

For example, the more Connor withdraws into his online life, the more introverted and depressed he becomes.  He reveals a great deal of anti-social behaviour: he hides himself in the cupboard, plays truant and eats alone in his room. (Include quotes from the experts.)

SECOND PARAGRAPH: (Positive) Contrastingly, if individuals find a supportive and positive way to belong to groups in society, then they will more likely be personally fulfilled and happier.. able to contribute in a positive way.
