HI All,

Well done with your use of metalanguage. Please revise:

The Green Analytical Vocab Builder:

  • Task 5; p. 12 regulations for e-cigarettes
  • Task 7: p. 14: regulations for e-scooters
  • Author’s “call to action” p. 19 and Task 13 on p. 20

Use the terminology to write a comparison between
“Augustus Gloop is no longer fat. He’s enormous. And that’s sweet with me, by Andy Griffiths, Feb 20, 2023 and compare with a letter to the editor

You must understand key points and use these as a point of comparison.

Adopting the high moral ground, Griffiths endorses the change to certain words which are deemed to be offensive and harmful.

Broadening his argument, Griffiths also argues that changing certain words does not change the content which should be irreverent and imaginative. Nor does he believe the changes diminish the brilliance of the writer. (There is a distinction)

Compare each point with a Letter to the Editor
