Keep reading and re-reading the professional letters and tune into, and mimic, where appropriate, the polished turn of phrase.
Please send me at least one paragraph of analysis each week and I’ll analyse your grammar. So far areas of concern are:
- incorrect pronoun references
- long and convoluted sentences (at least one clause lacks a subject)
- awkward quoting (quotes do not fit the grammatical context)
- some incorrect application of metalanguage especially, an image implies/connotes/insinuates that
