I will be holding a fortnightly Language Analysis and Crucible/Year of Wonders class. The focus is on analysis of key ideas and quotes; we will be writing paragraphs, plans and short sample essays.

- Lesson Update: a schedule and strategies to improve our language analysis
Lesson 1
- Language Analysis: spotlight on “purpose”. It is more than likely that your teacher’s main comment/criticism for your language analysis pieces throughout the year, will be that you are either: a) summarising too much, and/or b) that you do not have enough analysis of “purpose/intended impacts/positioning statements.
- Class: Language Analysis Task: Outright Bans, real-life examples: how to “milk” them. (The exam always includes real-life examples; personal/professional observations/attack/comparisons/appeals.
