Description of Eric: choose a particular characteristic, but suggest a problem
Eric is a very amenable sort of person. As long as he is getting his own way, he will always give you a wide and confident smile that seems to suggest that the world is quite a decent place. However, if you don’t give him the first bat at cricket, or the first dish from the kitchen, or if you make him wait for his … he starts to get rather itchy. The smile will turn to a scowl as you realise that this congenial sort of person has his moments.
- Recount a difficult scene/event – describe the moment of fear/anxiety:
Recently, he was trapped in the elevator … After a few minutes, he became quite clammy. He felt as if a caterpillar was walking up his sleeve. He became short of breath and his hands were sweating.
- Using dialogue, set up an interaction with other characters. (Build character through dialogue. Use correct punctuation. Do contrasting descriptions of characters.)
And then the lady started laughing, and joking into her phone, like it didn’t matter.
“Well I might just have to change the appointment” she drawled in her American accent, as if she had all the time in the world..
“Can’t you make it another day,” yapped Eric as he tried to elbow the mother’s daughter. They were the last to enter the elevator, pushing and cramming their way in.
Another young guy was getting fidgeting and began lighting up a smoke, and puffed so nonchalantly that it blew Eric right off his top.
And the one who got out the samosa. Eric didn’t mind samosas, but in such a confined space the chili was starting to get right up his nostrils
It made him feel nauseous, and he bent over catching his stomach
- Round off the scene. For example, the lift door opens and Eric faints, and the other people trample over him.
